Magnificent getaway

We stayed here after a full day hike down through stórurđ. The hot tubs were a welcomed indulgence after a long, rainy day and 4 nights of camping. The breakfast was diverse, filling, and delicious. There were a lot of homemade jams, breads, and Skyr… they even included some of the recipes! Their restaurant was a bit pricey but delicious and had some local menu items and local beers. The room we stayed in was simple but perfectly clean and had a great view of the harbor. The shared bathrooms were immaculate and completely modern. The building itself is so full of history and we really enjoyed learning more about the town. We wish we had more time here! We will definitely be back on our next trip toIceland!!

Amazing stay

The town is a little hard to get to (about 2 hrs off the ring road), but very cool how it was off the beaten path – definitely worth the trek out here. Very nice facilities, especially the shared bathrooms. Amazing location right on the water. They were also very accommodating when we realized we were going to arrive at 2AM (very poor planning!) instead of by their original cut-off point – the owners left us a way to get into the house and into our rooms. They also provided great suggestions for things to do the following day. Definitely heading back here when I get back to Iceland!

A beautiful place

A very beautiful place to stay, we would have liked to stay longer than only one night. The apartment was very nice, the breakfast also very good. Everyone was very friendly. We enjoyed especially the hot pools and the sauna on the terrace.

Absolutely recommendable

Tastefully decorated and charming ambience, marvellous breakfast buffet and small but recommendable dinner plates. A nice and calm place to be and stay. An absolute must: testing the wooden hot pot and visiting Puffin Island.

Best location

This was my second time staying here and it was even better than the first. With the addition of the restaurant, the common room is even more enjoyable. The location can’t be understated as it is at the centre of a beautiful bay.
